The Wilhelm Frank Program: A deep insight into international diplomacy
Four-month summer internship at the EU Delegation in Geneva
With its scholarship program, the Wilhelm Frank Foundation invites an outstanding student from Zeppelin University in Friedrichshafen to get to know the working methods, challenges and the international diplomatic environment in international organizations as part of an internship.
The program thus contributes to the expansion of intercultural skills and the promotion of education by gaining practical experience. In addition, the experience gained during the internship improves the chances of later employment in the international field. Funded by the Wilhelm Frank Foundation, the student will complete a paid internship at the Permanent Mission of the European Union to the United Nations from May 1 to August 31.
Over the course of four eventful months, the intern will support the EU delegation's human rights team and accompany the team through resolution negotiations, central votes and meetings with special rapporteurs at the 59th General Assembly of the UN Human Rights Council. Not only can the interactions between the various members of the Human Rights Council be experienced at first hand. It is also possible to observe how current political events influence the negotiation process.
The intern will receive administrative support from the EU delegation. The Wilhelm Frank Foundation supports the preparation and follow-up of the stay and finances the monthly salary of 1,300 euros.
